Discovering Valley of the Temple's mosaics

NoReal have installed an interactive floor in the new museum exhibition inside the ex Rural House of the Rural Hellenistic-Roman District.

The system consists of a computer connected to a projector and a depth sensor in order to allow the creation of multiple interactive content via a simplified user interface. The system is installed on the ceiling and projects vertically on the white floor of the hall, with a projected area of about 5x4 meters.

The interaction is really natural: the visitor come up on scene without feeling differences, but walking  the sensitive area he activates the unveiling of the projected image. Then, the surprise and the desire to discover the entire floor.

The first two applications were aimed to the gradual unveiling of a mosaic floor discovered in the Hellenistic-Roman Quarter and the excavation of the Temple of Isis.
